ISTANBUL NEW AIRPORT SEAPORT TRANSFORMER CENTER AND OFFICE BUILDING


 

The transformer centers constructed for the purpose of providing power for the new Istanbul Grand Airport which will be the largest airport in Europe once completed are scattered around a total area of 76 million m² designed to feed also other areas. 51 transformer centers, 300 m² being the smallest and 1200 m² being the largest, are constructed in different versions depending on purpose of use. These centers which also include offices inside and relevant infrastructure will be handed over to the operation as a turnkey project.

Scope of the construction of the Transformer Centers:

  • Preparation works for excavation and cable management
  • Flat and Beam Mat foundation manufacturing (Mold-Iron-Concrete)
  • Parapet Wall, Shear Walls, Slab, Parapet manufacturing (Mold-Iron-Concrete)
  • Sub-Base, Terrace, Shear Insulation (Membrane, Xps, Geotextile Fabric)
  • Cement finish and Epoxy Floor Covering
  • Tubular steel works
  • Gas concrete applications
  • Interior Façade Gypsum Plaster, Satin Plaster and Paint Manufacturing
  • Plaster with exterior façade insulation, Plaster Net, Decorative Plaster, Thermal Sheathing and Paint Manufacturing
  • Provision and Installation of Aluminum Joinery, Metal, Wooden and Fire-Resistant Doors
  • Wall Coping Production
  • Temporary Door Manufacturing and Installation
  • Sidewalk and landscaping works
  • Installation of roof strainers and downspouts
  • Elevated Floor Covering Production
